Currently in my third year as an adjunct professor teaching APR 429: Sport and Entertainment Marketing and Promotions through Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Alabama.
The course is designed to develop a thorough understanding of sports marketing principles and their application to all facets of the sports industry. My goal is to prepare students for public relations careers within in the sport and entertainment industries. Specifically, we learn how marketing affects other areas of a business that uses sports to reach their target consumers. Students gain instrumental knowledge of marketing principles and real-world applications to help prepare them for a successful future in these in sports, entertainment, and the music industries.
